Families,
We have had a fantastic first term here at Hampton Elementary School.
We are so very proud of our students and all that they have accomplished! Thank
you to our families for your on-going support.
Here are your updates as we kick-off the month of December.
First Term Report
Cards – Term 1 Report cards go home with students on Monday,
Dec.4th.
Family-Teacher
Meetings – Family-Teacher meetings are Thursday, Dec. 7,
4:00-7:00pm and Friday, Dec. 8, 8:30-11:30am. We are offering these
in-person or virtual. You can book your appointment online by clicking the link

Dec.8th No
Classes For Students – A note to families that there are no
classes scheduled for students, Friday, Dec.8th, as is
family-teacher meetings and professional learning for staff.
Book Fair
– Scholastic Winter Book Fair December 4th –8th
Books can take you anywhere and everywhere, what will be your next
adventure? Students can visit the book fair during the week of December 4th
– 8th, at their regular library times on Tues the 5th and Thurs the
7th. If students happen to forget to bring their money on the Tues there will
be time available for them to visit the fair on Thursday.
Families can also visit the fair during parent teacher on Thursday evening
from 4pm-7pm and on Friday the 8th from 8:30am-11:30am. Follow the arrows in
the hallways leading you to the school
library.
HES Winter Concert
– Monday, December 18 (storm

PLEASE NOTE: Doors will open one half hour prior to each performance
Best Seats in the House Tickets for the Winter Concert – Tickets are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 for a chance to win Reserved Parking, VIP Seating for 4, and Treats. Draw will take place Friday, Dec. 15 – all tickets and money are due by noon
in order to be entered. All funds raised will be donated to the
Hampton Food Basket. (Tickets will go home on Monday, Dec. 4.)
Pizza Hot Lunch
– With the cancellation of one week of pizza, the last week for this current
round will be Dec. 22 instead. However, we will still run the ordering
for the next round of pizza from Dec.8-18 to ensure we have it ordered in time
for our return in January. The next round of pizza will begin January 10th,
for 5 weeks, 1 slice for $10 and 2 slices for $20. Orders will be available for purchase
online from Dec.8. Paper order forms can be picked up in the office.
Hampton Food Basket
Collection - During the weeks of Nov 27-Dec.8, our school is
collecting the following items for the Hampton Food Basket: canned soup, canned
vegetables, canned beans, canned meat/fish. The items collected will be
delivered by our grade 5 students on December 11th or 12th.
~ Community Events ~
Rotary Club of
Hampton – Barrel of Socks Campaign – Hampton Elementary has
been asked to help collect new socks, mitts, scarves, toques, etc for the less
fortunate. We will have a box in the lobby to help collect these items,
if you wish to contribute to the Rotary Club’s campaign.
Empty Stocking Fund - The Empty Stocking Fund registration information for Hampton Families: Registration is open until December 6th and is at Hampton Baptist Church on Main Street. Call for an appointment 506-608-0253.
